Pablo Sarasate was born in Pamplona in 1844 and died in Biarritz in 1908. From child prodigy to universal artist, Pamplona’s greatest violin virtuoso is the most important musician Navarre has ever produced; its finest ambassador and the greatest performer of his time.

Exhibition paying tribute to Pablo Sarasate![]()
Pamplona City Council and the Regional Government of Navarre have organised this sculpture exhibition along Paseo Sarasate to mark the centenary of Pablo Sarasate’s death.
Sarasate’s memoires
The Department of Culture and Tourism has finalised the facsimile edition of Julio Altadill’s memoirs, first published in 1909, and released it in spring.
